About

At Katcha Bilek, design comes first. We use recycled materials as part and parcel of what we do: the materials are exceptionally strong and versatile, and we just don't like to see them wasted.

Based in Bristol, UK, Katcha and her team promote an alternative to modern living through ethical, unique designs that are exclusively one-of-a-kind. In 1999, Katcha was living and travelling in a converted fire engine. It was then when her inspiration for eco-crafted products came to light. ‘I became so aware of the abandoned materials that were around me and it struck me that, with some imagination, they could be reconstructed into something beautiful and useful.’ Already having previous knowledge of leather-working, Katcha began creating beautifully designed bags that were 100% recycled raw material and selling them from the back of her fire engine.

In 2008 Katcha moved from Spain to the UK to begin her company from a studio in Stokes Croft, the artsy capital of Bristol. Since then KB products have introduced further up-cycled designs now ranging from bags to belts, furniture to chandeliers, dog collars to key chains and even the famous car tyre crocodiles. Throughout Katcha's process her main focus is on design, whilst creating a product that is 100% vegan and recycled. With handcrafted care, each KB design allows an alternative that defines eco-friendly, lovable fashion.
